Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Playrivo (playrivo.app), a personal Steam library companion. By using the service you accept them. They are deliberately written in plain language — they are not a substitute for legal advice, and the bracketed placeholders below must be filled in by the operator before the service is offered publicly.
What the service is
Playrivo connects to your Steam account through Steam OpenID, reads the game details your profile makes public, and gives you three personal picks: something to play now, an alternative you already own, and one purchase suggestion with an honest status — including a plain “don't buy this” when that is the honest answer. It also shows public Steam charts and per-game statistics such as achievements, review summaries and estimated story lengths.

Metacritic data shown in Playrivo is © Metacritic, retrieved via Steam's public app details data. Playrivo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any publisher or storefront shown on the site.
Data sources
All game data displayed in Playrivo — playtime, prices, discounts, review summaries, achievements, player counts — comes from public Steam Web APIs and the Steam Store. Approximate completion times shown for single-player games come from publicly available community sources of the HowLongToBeat kind. They are estimates, not guarantees: how long a game actually takes you depends on how you play.
Recommendations and AI
Recommendations are selected by a deterministic scoring engine that works only on your real Steam data. Parts of the result — the interpretation of a free-text request and the short “why this” explanations — may be generated with AI assistance, based solely on the real library data described above. The AI is never allowed to invent games, playtime, prices or reviews: every pick is re-checked against your actual owned-games list before it is shown. There is no guarantee of recommendation quality, and a recommendation is information, not advice to purchase.
Acceptable use
Use Playrivo for your own Steam account only. Do not attempt to access other people's data, scrape the service, or disrupt its operation. Endpoints that generate real cost on our side (AI calls, Steam API calls) are rate-limited; excessive automated use may be refused.
No warranty and account security
The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free results, and we may change or discontinue features at any time. You are responsible for the security of your own Steam account. Playrivo never asks for your Steam password — signing in happens on steamcommunity.com via Steam OpenID, and Playrivo never receives your credentials.
